Remedial Massage and Myotherapy

Remedial Massage Therapy is the assessment and treatment of soft tissue restrictions, pain and injury.

Our therapists use of a variety of hands-on techniques including:

  • deep tissue massage

  • cross fibre friction

  • trigger point therapy

  • myofascial release

  • stretching

Remedial Massage Therapy can help to speed up the body’s own process of healing by reducing muscle adhesions, improving joint range of motion and muscle length, as well as increasing the circulation of blood flow around the body.

This type of therapy is particularly popular for those who suffer from chronic pain relating to posture, headaches, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), sporting injuries or those who wish to maintain pain-free movement.

Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of muscular conditions.

Myotherapists utilise a range of treatment techniques to restore and maintain the normal integrity of the soft tissue structures which include muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Muscular dysfunction can be caused by trauma, overload or misuse of muscles arising from occupational, sporting or recreational activities. Treatment incorporates various techniques such as massage, cupping, dry needling, stretching, exercise prescription and joint mobilisation - making it an effective and powerful soft tissue treatment method.

Myotherapists treat the cause as well as the symptoms of a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal pain, sciatica, tennis/golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, headache, general stiffness, frozen shoulder, elbow & wrist pain, knee, hip and ankle pain.
